No time for tears

I will not accept nor should the 55,821,650 millions of America that did not vote for Obama.

I agree, it is nice that you, 63,042,806 million, elected a half-black Muslim African to be our president 7 years after 9/11. A man that bought an election with the media supporting him 100 percent.

We the 55 million will now take to working on electing a conservative candidate in 2012 that believes in lower taxes, smaller government, the Constitution and the American dream. You, the 63 million, did not believe in those principles but we will work to convince you that our way is the right way.

We need to support The Heritage Foundation, The American Thinker, and any number of conservative sources. Read the conservative magazines, Weekly Standard, National Review, Washington Times. Sign up for the conservative thinkers blogs, Michelle Malkin, Thomas Sowell, Charles Krauthammer. Join the NRA. Don't listen to Brooks, Noonan, Hitchens or Buckley. We don't want you in our party. You aren't helpful to our cause.

Support conservative candidates in your area.

Friday, my husband and I are going to buy a handgun before the laws are changed. To quote Charlton Heston, "They will have to come and take it out of my cold dead hands."

Enjoy your day in the sun, the new wave of change will come. It will move the country back to the right and back to the American dream.

We can only hope he does not destroy America as we know it.

I'm a Canadian and watched the U.S. election with great interest. I can't wait to see how Mr Obama's colour is going to miraculously fix all the problems facing your country.

John McCain would have made a better President for the times, but unfortunately he was underfunded and chose a running mate who frankly, scared the crap out of people. If only his party had elected him over Bush as Presidential candidate when they had the chance.

God bless and protect us all. We surely need it.

Wow, I just randomly came across your blog and thought I would check it out, as I always love hearing what other people are thinking. You are certainly entitled to your opinions and sharing those opinions how you choose, but I hope that you are able to step back and evaluate what you are saying. Criticizing the president-elect because he is half black? And he isn't Muslim - and it's impossible to be "half Muslim" just as it's impossible to be "half Christian". Frustration is understandable as your chosen party did not win, but shooting from the hip with lies and reactionary rhetoric is not productive. Getting involved is a great outlet, and I hope you find satisfcation in fighting for the causes that are important to you (as do I). But it is best to keep the misinformation and hate out of it. Love, tolerance, compassion and an ongoing pursuit of truth are underrated today; I think we could all benefit from making a greater effort to master those.
